The Fresh Connection: the virtual learning environment for supply chain professionals!
News
The Fresh Connection is being presented at the 32nd annual SAPICS conference from 25 to 28 July 2010 in South Africa. The focus will be on the engaging learning opportunity The Fresh Connection business simulation has to offer. The session will cover the advantages of team based learning in a simulated environment and link them to practical challenges such as in Strategy Execution.
Learning experience
The Fresh Connection is a supply chain learning experience for professionals. In a virtual, web-based environment, they are challenged to save a fruit juice maker from its downfall. Advanced simulation software calculates the consequences of the strategic and tactical decisions a team makes from one round to the other. Which team will get its supply chain to perform best? Which team will produce the highest return on investment?
Steep learning curve
With The Fresh Connection participants will benefit from a steep learning curve. They will experience what it is like to design and manage a modern supply chain. How to make a strategy work in practice. How to convince teammates with thorough analyses without getting lost in details. And learn how to cooperate and make decisions with the entire supply chain in mind, instead of just their own department.
Developed by experts
The Fresh Connection has been developed by experts of Involvation, a supply chain management (SCM) consulting firm. Topics covered by the game include production, inventory, supply chain and materials management, purchasing, and logistics.
